We are a family of four who moved to Malagash in the spring of 2021. We abandoned our conventional lifestyle and escaped our nations backwards food system in search of deepening our relationship with food. We set out to understand and implement the best methods to grow and raise our food. Here at Black Bear Homestead we practice regenerative agriculture techniques and never use chemicals or pesticides to aid in our food production. We believe our biointensive methods applied to our market garden provides the best quality and nutrients to our yields and the soil in which we work with. 

We are currently vendors at the Tatamagouche Farmers Market every Saturday from 9am-1pm, where we sell our abundance produced here on Black Bear Homestead. Available for purchase is our seasonal produce, farm fresh eggs, sourdough bread, baked goods, preserves and our line of grass-fed tallow skin care products.
